I've been taking care of the farm for some friends of ours who are on break, and I woke up at 7am to their whole house shaking with rain and wind, and it was pitch black! Then within 10 min the rain totally stopped and the sunrise was glorious! Just like it must have been on that first Easter...
When I got back to my house, and everyone found their Easter baskets, we all spent the next half hour cracking up at Joycie bouncing all over the house, yelling, "Hucky Barms! Hucky Barms!" (Lucky Charms, a treat that I don't think she's ever even had before, but somehow knew was worth dancing for)
...but apparently Joycie wasn't the only one excited about Lucky Charms... during breakfast, I heard Danny mutter, "Yes!" and looked over to see that he had extracted every piece of cereal except the marshmallows, and was looking forward to a delicious last few bites :D (If you haven't done this before, you obviously haven't fully enjoyed a bowl of Lucky Charms)
Church was great, but I didn't take any pictures, so this next moment is from when Danny and I drove out to do the farm work in the evening... Amazing what God can do, no?
When we got home we found that Oak had been spending his time very productively as well... He opened a Microsoft Excel sheet, taped the mouse clicker down so it just kept scrolling, and watched it to see how far it'd go. Apparently Excel can only handle one million, forty-eight thousand, five hundred and seventy-six rows at once :P Who would have guessed?
To finish the night we gathered downstairs, and read through the Easter story, then watched some hilarious family videos. As you can see, we were very reverent.
Well Happy Easter everybody! Just as a last thought, if you haven't seen this already, it's so worth 2min 44s of your life!
